CICEE-2027-conference
The Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition 2027 (CICEE 2027) held a promotional event in the United States for the Las Vegas construction equipment exhibition CONEXPO CON/AGG.

The event was attended by representatives from industry associations, leading construction equipment manufacturers, and media houses from over a dozen countries, including the United States, India, Chile, South Korea, Turkey, Austria, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, Italy, the UAE, and China.

This cross-border industry gathering delivered its vision and core value of CICEE 2027 to a global audience. The event also saw the launch of the International Construction and Equipment Information Technology Alliance, an initiative designed to strengthen global information sharing and collaboration across the construction equipment industry.

CICEE 2027 aims to expand a Global Platform for Construction Equipment. The CICEE Organizing Committee also unveiled an overview of CICEE 2027 which will be held during May 12–15, 2027, at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center and the Changsha International Conference Center, with a total exhibition area expected to exceed 300,000 square meters.

Centered on the theme “High-End, Intelligent, and Green Development” the exhibition will cover the entire industrial chain —from infrastructure and emergency response to mining, agriculture, and logistics — creating a globally connected “mega-equipment” industrial ecosystem.

Five major exhibition sectors will work in synergy:
  • Construction Machinery
  • Mining Machinery
  • Emergency Equipment
  • Agricultural Machinery
  • Transport Equipment
Together, they will form a premier platform for industry display, innovation exchange, and international cooperation.

According to the organizing committee:
  • More than 2,000 exhibitors are expected
  • Over 400 OEM manufacturers will participate
  • More than 70% of the world’s Top 50 construction machinery manufacturers are expected to attend
  • Over 150,000 registered professional visitors are anticipated
International professional visitor delegations will come from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative as well as major global markets.

Global Industry Leaders Highlight Smart Construction Trends

The promotion event was jointly hosted by Zhou Xianbiao, Secretary-General of the China Construction Machinery Society, and Dr. George K. Zhang, President of the International Society for Intelligent Construction. Yuan Zhen, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Association, presented an overview of Changsha’s construction machinery industry.

The promotion event featured an impressive lineup of distinguished guests, including representatives from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), namely Pedro Martin-Panadero, Manager of Global Partnerships and Exhibitions, and Kaien Li, AEM Asia Director.

Also in attendance were Dr. George K. Zhang, President of the International Society for Intelligent Construction (U.S.); Jorge, Secretary-General of the Spanish Equipment Manufacturers Association; and Faruk Aksoy, secretary general of the Turkish Power Generator Manufacturers and Power Generating Systems Association.

Representatives from leading construction machinery companies such as XCMG, SANY Group, Zoomlion and Sunward Intelligent, participated in the event, along with industry association leaders and corporate executives from India, Chile, Brazil, South Korea, and other countries.

Dr. Zhang shared his experience of attending multiple technical forums during CICEE 2025. He noted that the exhibition hosted a series of high-level seminars and technical exchanges, allowing experts to discuss the latest technology trends alongside cutting-edge equipment displays.

“The global construction machinery industry is rapidly transitioning toward intelligence and collaborative integration,” he said.
“The ‘Full-Chain Intelligent Connectivity’ concept proposed by CICEE 2027 aligns closely with international trends in intelligent construction.”

He added that cross-technology and cross-scenario integration is essential for industrial upgrading. The planned “Smart Jobsite 2027” immersive demonstration zone and a global innovation matchmaking platform for intelligent construction machinery will provide an ideal environment for technology exchange and real-world implementation.

As a long-time partner of CICEE, India’s leading industry media NBM & CW dedicated a seven-page cover story to CICEE 2025. The article provided an in-depth report on the exhibition, highly praising its service quality, the caliber of exhibits, the scale of professional visitors, as well as Changsha’s cuisine, scenic attractions, and the strength of its construction machinery industry.

At the promotion event, Kamal Rizvi, Vice President of NBM Media Group, presented a highlight video of CICEE 2025. He noted that CICEE accurately captures the industry’s trends toward intelligence and green development, and that its initiatives such as the “Global Debut Platform” and “Fully Connected Industrial Ecosystem” align closely with the technological innovation needs of Indian enterprises.

He also expressed NBM’s commitment to continuing to actively organize Indian companies to exhibit and participate, further promoting deep industrial cooperation between India and China and jointly seizing new opportunities in the industry. He commended the exhibition for providing an outstanding platform for international exchange and collaboration.

Launch of International Construction Alliance Initiative

During the event, Shen Yonghan, Chairwoman of Chile Hongzhan Group and a representative of the Chilean construction industry association, jointly released the “Initiative for the Establishment of the International Construction Alliance” on behalf of participating organizations.

The initiative aims to create a global platform for technology exchange, industry information sharing, and international cooperation within the construction machinery sector.

The proposal noted that while global construction technology and equipment are advancing rapidly, cross-regional communication is still hindered by barriers such as time, language, and cost. Establishing a multinational alliance is seen as an effective solution to address these challenges. The initiative proposes five key measures to build a global information-sharing network:
  1. Organizing regular exchanges among alliance members during major international exhibitions.
  2. Creating a global public information platform showcasing member activities and industry updates.
  3. Establishing a “Global Industry News Pool” for sharing local industry news and resources.
  4. Supporting cross-border business agency services among members to expand media and commercial cooperation.
  5. Establishing a secretariat within the CICEE Organizing Committee, along with regional centers across major continents to ensure stable operations.
Zhou Xianbiao, Secretary-General of the China Construction Machinery Society, explained: “The purpose of establishing this alliance is to promote cooperation, resource sharing, mutual empowerment, and coordinated development.” He added that the alliance will remove information bottlenecks across the global industry, enabling professionals to access cutting-edge technologies, market insights, and exhibition updates in a timely manner.

CICEE 2027 will serve as the core platform supporting the alliance, and global industry organizations and media are invited to join in building an open, efficient, and mutually beneficial global exchange platform for construction equipment technology and information.

Signing Ceremony Strengthens Global Partnerships

A collective signing ceremony was held during the event. The CICEE Organizing Committee signed cooperation agreements with several international organizations and media groups, including:
  • International Society for Intelligent Construction
  • Chile Hongzhan Company
  • NBM Media Group
  • Korean Crane Association
  • Italy V22 Media Group
The cooperation covers areas such as:
  • Organizing global professional visitor delegations
  • Promoting industry forums and events
  • International brand communication
  • Overseas exhibitor representation
These agreements mark another step in strengthening the global partnership network of CICEE 2027 and expanding its international influence. Additionally, the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the International Society for Intelligent Construction.

Looking Ahead

CICEE 2027 aims to bring together global innovation, industry expertise, and international cooperation to create a world-class construction machinery event that will shape the future of the industry. The successful U.S. promotion event marks a new phase in the global marketing campaign for CICEE 2027.
