The Border Roads Organization has fast tracked the construction of Balipara-Charduar-Tawang 320-km long road project in Itanagar and the mega project is destined to be completed within the next three years, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said in a recent statement, adding that the road stretch is a strategically important for defence in particular and general public alike. The road stretch, which is being constructed by BRO faced delay in completion due to various reasons including undue delay in forest clearance and land acquisition. As a matter of fact, the road project has been lying in limbo for about a decade now but it will be commissioned within the stipulated time as it is the lifeline for the people of West Kameng and Tawang districts, he claimed.
