Uttarakhand CM Inaugurates Rs 29.65 Crore Dhangarhi Bridge on NH-309

Dhangarhi-Bridge
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inaugurated the 220.90-metre-long pre-stressed girder bridge over the Dhangarhi Nala on National Highway-309 in Nainital district, built at a cost of Rs. 29.65 crore.

The bridge provides a permanent solution to frequent traffic disruptions caused by rising water levels in the Dhangarhi Nala during the monsoon, ensuring safer and uninterrupted connectivity for residents, tourists and emergency services.

The Dhangarhi route is a key link between the Kumaon and Garhwal regions. The new bridge is expected to improve travel, boost tourism, facilitate trade and support the local economy while enhancing connectivity to destinations such as Jim Corbett National Park.

The Chief Minister also announced that the 175.60-metre-long Panaud Bridge, being constructed nearby at a cost of around Rs. 18.43 crore, is nearing completion and will soon be opened to the public. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta said the two bridges would strengthen regional connectivity and benefit agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare and Char Dham pilgrims.
