Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Inaugurates Rs 1,520 Cr Amaravati E3 Seed Access Road, Steel Bridge
Built at a cost of Rs 1,520 crore, the nine-lane access road connects Dondapadu village to NH-16 via Rayapudi, Venkatapalem, Penumaka, Undavalli and Tadepalli. The 60-metre-wide corridor is being developed in three phases and will include a dedicated Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor, service roads, drainage, drinking water, gas and power utilities, along with cycle tracks, footpaths and a green belt.
A 478-metre-long, four-lane steel bridge over the Buckingham Canal at Undavalli has also been inaugurated, providing a direct link between the E3 corridor and the Vijayawada-Mangalagiri Highway.
The new road and bridge are expected to improve connectivity between Vijayawada and Amaravati, ease congestion on the existing Krishna river bund (Karakatta) road, and support future traffic demand. The E3 corridor will also integrate with Amaravati's planned 350-km grid road network comprising 34 roads from N1 to N17, strengthening access across the capital region.
