BMRCL splits Rs.11,014-cr metro line

Ensuring smooth completion of the mega underground metro project, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is all set to divide the construction of the Gottigere-Nagawara line into five packages at an investment of Rs. 11,014cr. The metro corridor with a length of 21.25-km runs through the heart of the city whereby 13.79 km stretch goes underground connecting Namma Metro's Phase-2, which is still under construction. This line traverses along Bannerghatta Road as an elevated one up to Swagath Road cross and dives underground after Sagar Hospital near the fire station. The underground line passes through Diary Circle, Mico industries, Hosur Road, Vellara junction, Brigade Road, MG Road (interchange station), Kamaraj Road, Cubbon Road, Shivajinagar bus stand, Queens Road, Cantonment Railway Station, Nandidurga Road (Pottery Town), Tannery Road, Venkateshapura, Arabic College and reaches Nagawara after crossing the Outer Ring Road, said MD, BMRCL, Pradeep Singh Kharola.
