AMC fixes Rs. 150-cr road network on radar

Aurangabad Road Development
In its quest to improve road connectivity in and round the municipal limits, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will invest Rs. 150-cr on the development of 44 important roads ensuring top-class transport facilities, particularly roads largely used by tourists to reach historical monuments, said an official spokesperson of AMC, adding that the work will be carried out in phases. In addition, score of other roads would also be chosen for white-topping, as they lead to many historical places and monuments in Aurangabad. The roads connecting Khadkeshwar Temple, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum, Soneri Mahal, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, would be among those earmarked for development. Infrastructure development is urgently needed, especially when the city has been chosen to be a member of the smart city club, he claimed.
