Gurgaon gets Rs. 10,000-cr infra projects

Gurgaon Infra Projects
On the occasion of Haryana's Golden Jubilee Celebrations starting from November 1, the state government has announced infrastructure projects involving an investment of Rs. 10,000-cr for Gurgaon, said Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, explaining that multiple steps are being taken to further improve connectivity between Gurgaon, Delhi, and Jaipur. The Dwarka Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), where the construction work is currently in full swing, is being developed as 16-lane road thereby, making it the widest road in the country. There is also a plan to extend the Metro in Gurgaon upto Subhash Chowk. The people would also get Metrino, an improved alternative for transportation and the Manesar-Palwal Highway has already been opened and the highway between Manesar and Kundli would be made functional by next year.

Apart from this, Rs. 700-cr elevated flyover would also be constructed between South City and Badshahpur. The department is floating tenders to invite bid for the purpose and after their allotment, work to improve roads in sectors within municipal limits would begin shortly after that. These apart, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) will complete the process of land acquisition for construction of master sector roads in the areas between Sohna Road and NH-8 in New Gurgaon area from sector 68 to 74 by the end of the first week of the next month. As part of its plan to carry out phased development in new Gurgaon sectors, the nodal agency will award projects of Rs. 2,207-cr for acquisition of 257 acres in six Gurgaon villages and the entire land acquisition process will be completed during the same period.
