Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd has secured a Rs 3,070 crore civil construction contract from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for a major project under the Central Vista redevelopment in New Delhi. The EPC contract, awarded by the CPWD’s Central Vista Project Division, will be executed over 21 months.

The scope includes construction of the Common Central Secretariat Buildings 8 and 9 on plots 23B and 23C along Maulana Azad Road. The Central Vista Redevelopment Project aims to modernise New Delhi’s administrative core with new secretariat blocks, a new Parliament, and upgraded public spaces, at an estimated cost exceeding Rs 20,000 crore.

With CCS-8 and CCS-9 progressing under the defined EPC timeline, the works support the broader Central Vista programme targeting substantial completion by 2028.
