We will increase our paver production and come out with automated pavers.
Gujarat-based Waken Multitech specializes in the production of mechanical pavers with a width of 2.5 meters, extendable to 4.5 meters, and sensor-based pavers with a 2.5-meter width, extendable to 5.5 meters. The company is set to introduce automatic pavers with a 2.4-meter base, extendable to 4.5 meters.
Increasing Production to Meet Growing Demand
To keep pace with the rising demand for pavers, particularly due to the expansion of large-scale road construction projects, we are planning to increase production at our Mehsana factory. Currently, we produce 6-7 units of mechanical and sensor-equipped tire-mounted pavers. By 2024, we aim to elevate our production to 10-12 units, necessitating an expansion of our production capacity. Additionally, we are developing automated pavers to enhance operational efficiency. The automation will involve an automated gear change mechanism, as well as automated screed and hopper operation, in contrast to the conventional mechanical operations.Innovations for Enhanced Paver Performance
Our pavers now feature a loco guard, ensuring the uniform distribution of asphalt paving material while the pavers are in motion. Furthermore, we have equipped our pavers with broad hoppers to accommodate larger volumes of paving materials, which are often loaded from larger tipper trucks. These hoppers are constructed with enhanced thickness to withstand the force exerted by the tipper bodies during machine operation. Additionally, we have increased the weight of our pavers to improve adhesion to surfaces and ease of movement, particularly in hilly regions.
Meeting the Diverse Needs of Road Contractors
Our strategic focus remains on collaborating with smaller and medium-sized contractors, and we are continuously developing innovative solutions to cater to the comprehensive application needs of road contractors. This approach has proven to be successful in attracting new business and acquiring new customers.In an effort to provide timely support to our clients, we are establishing partnerships with parts suppliers in regions where Waken pavers are in operation. Additionally, we are actively engaging with equipment operators and maintenance and service providers. Through these initiatives, we have significantly reduced lead times for parts supply and services, ensuring enhanced support for our valued clients.
