bC India 2011
MANITOU B.F, France, is the largest manufacturer of All Terrain Material Handling Equipment in the world. With over 23 subsidiaries and 600 sales and service outlets network, the company has presence in more than 120 countries.

On company's participation at bC India show, Mr. Ajay Mandahr, Director, Commercial Operations said, our objective is to participate in bC India predominately to introduce to our Indian customers the latest technology available in construction, industrial & mining material handling. We plan to exhibit versatile "MANISCOPIC" concept, which provides one-machine-solution for all the applications like Pick-n-Carry crane, Loader, Rough terrain variable lift Forklift, Access Platform/AWP and several other applications like Rib Erector (for tunnels), Tyre Handler, Log Handler, Light dozing, Sweeper etc. And the economical gain is substantial for users he said, adding that firstly, asset utilization is maximum (resulting from multi-application capabilities of the machine), secondly, it do away with the requirement of special skill-set mandatory for using different or variety of machines, thirdly, more safety at the site (ROPS & FOPS Cabin, in-built safe load indicators, automatic cut-off of operation beyond the safety zone etc.,) and last but not the least optimum inventory of parts at the operation site (maintaining parts for different application specific machines is a cumbersome job & cost ineffective).

bC India 2011
Further he elaborated, we shall also be displaying 200 ATJ, the most reliable & customer-friendly "MANIACCESS", the Access platform (AWP). As MANITOU is an undisputed market leader in All Terrain Equipment, and this strength of MANITOU get's reflected in this product as well. 200 ATJ is a 20m work platform and is a 4-wheel drive machine with a self-diagnostic tool available with a screen. In most unlikely case of breakdown at site, operator can make out from the screen as to what has gone wrong with the machine & get support over the phone. In addition, the workaholic Skid Steer Loader from GEHL will also be displayed, he added.

Indian customer is more value sensitive and we have a product range, which offers unparallel value to our customers. bC India is one of the several platforms we intent to utilize to interact with our Indian customers. As you say "seeing is believing," by displaying these products at bC India, we will surely be able to corner some mind share of the customer and hence a better brand & product recall, he insisted. And to cater to the requirement of the industry in various product segments, we have dealership agreements with Escorts, Dozco & Gemini.

Explaining the functioning of product Mr. Mandahr said, MANITOU products portfolio includes MANISCOPIC (widest range of Telehandlers), MANIACCESS (Vertical, Articulated, Scissor & Telescopic Access Platforms (AWP), MANITOU (Rough terrain Masted Forklifts), MANITOU INDUSTRY (Industrial forklifts trucks (Diesel, LPG & Electric Range) & Warehousing equipments), and MANITRANSIT (Truck Mounted Forklifts). MANITOU with its widest product portfolio, offers immense value in terms of providing "Single Window Solution" for "Diverse Applications" as called for in Construction, Manufacturing & Mining Sector.

As a global player in Material Handling equipment, we believe in making available to all our customers worldwide the latest & technologically updated products. You will be surprised that at any point in time 50% of our products sold were designed less than three years ago. This ensures incorporation of the latest technology & customer feedback about our products. Manitou has 9 design studios with more than 200 engineers striving to keep the "critical" technological edge over our competitors. In the last 10 years, we have 40 patents to our name, he concluded.
