Head-Marketing
CE industry is passing through a very exciting phase
The Excavator industry has grown by more than 45% in 2016 over 2015. The growth till Sept 2017 is estimated to be around 20% over 2016. This growth trend is giving a lot of confidence to the manufacturers and motivating them to re-start capacity enhancement plans. Currently, the road sector is driving growth. With the announcement for development in railways and irrigation, we expect significant business opportunities from these sectors as well.
Looking at the infrastructure potential and the Government’s flagship programs like Ease of Doing Business and Make in India, we are quite optimistic about the growth prospects of our industry for the next 3 to 5 years.
GST is a welcome move by the government of India
Our machines move around the country for various kinds of work, and their logistics coupled with entry forms etc in different states, was a big challenge for our customers. Borderless movement across the country will help in improving the operational efficiency for infrastructure projects. The change in GST slab from 28% to 18% gives a breather to customers and keep project costs under control.
Our Hi-Mate remote management system will change customer experience
Hyundai Construction Equipment India is working on various advanced technologies for improving efficiency in our engine and hydraulic systems, which will change customer experience. Our unique remote management system, Hi-Mate, is one such feature in the machines that offers customer’s information and analytical reports. It helps customers to access machine operating information, service & maintenance alerts and take corrective action, without being physically present near the machine.
Fleet management system of Hi-Mate enables machine-to-machine communication to improve operational efficiency. This is an app-based monitoring with which customers can monitor the machine performance, operating parameters and alerts using a hand held device.

SMART series is the result of a deep understanding of customer business, usage pattern and future technological advancements in the CE industry. SMART is the acronym for Superior performance, low Maintenance, Analytical capabilities, enhanced Reliability, and advanced Technology.
The machines are equipped with self-diagnosis, fault-alert record storage and communication system, which facilitates early problem resolution and better uptime. These machines are more fuel-efficient than the earlier series, and are equipped with various features to improve operator comfort, engine life, and component durability.
New at Excon 17
Apart from the SMART series, we will be launching the following machines in the Indian market: R140 L fitted with Cummins engine and with operator convenience, improved reliability and fuel efficiency; R480LC-9S fuel-efficient, reliable and technologically advanced solution for over burden removal in coal mines; and R140W-9S wheeled excavator for concrete road making application.
We will also be showcasing our special-purpose machines with features such as elevated cabin for wagon loading, mini excavator for agriculture, machines for working in environments that have a space constraint, and material handling solutions for our vendors and other manufacturers.
