SEMW: Upbeat about Its Machinery
"We are happy to see our products working successfully and satisfactorily across Indian construction sites. With the noticeable boost in Indian construction market, our foundation and pilling machinery would be in high demand so we plan to bring more advanced products and solution into the country," says Mr. Roy Lee, Business Development Manager, International Sales Dept. Shanghai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. in an interview with S.K.Khanna.
It is quite sometime now you launched your products in India. What has been the response so far and which product is in high demand?
We are extremely happy to see that our products are successfully working in India. Before we formally entered into the Indian market, we make sure that our customers are fully satisfied with our products. We have now formally started our business in India and brought all round support to our clients. In view of noticeable buoyancy in the Indian construction market, we expect our machinery in piling and foundation industry will witness high demand.
How is Indian market different from that of Chinese?
Both India and China are big markets. Compared with Chinese local market, Indian market is very unique and professional in engineering and management, and is more western-oriented.
It is a common perception in India that Chinese companies producedgood products but are unable to provide effective after sales service, what is your opinion about it?
SEMW is a middle-sized specialized company in world of piling and deep foundation. We at SEMW are putting best effort to provide effective customer services and after sales service through our local dealership network.
How do you see your business in India in next 2-3 years?
The foundation and piling market in the country will grow and get upgraded by using the technology. So SEMW will bring more advanced products and solutions for the deep foundation contractors in India.
Do you have any plan to set up manufacturing facility in India in near future?
Not yet. But we may consider to establish some simple assembly workshops with our dealership.
