Sany Heavy Industry India Pvt Ltd: Dheeraj Panda, Director – Sales, Marketing & Customer Support
As an OEM, we cannot lose sight of the industry’s changing needs including the new emission norms. Technological innovation is the only way forward to produce more economical, efficient, and environment-friendly equipment.
Sany India machines are designed and developed through intensive R&D to deliver reliable performance with high productivity.
Our latest equipment is equipped with cutting-edge technologies like IoT and telematics, which further enhance the productivity of machines. The telematics system monitors key operational parameters, which increases machine utilization, and leads to higher productivity by the machine operators.
To enhance the energy efficiency of its machines with low fuel consumption, Sany’s equipment comes loaded with Dynamic Optimization Matching Control System (DOMCS) that matches the engine’s performance with the external load demand, for better fuel efficiency. We have recently used the Kubota engine in our excavators, which delivers higher productivity and ensures low fuel usage at operations, even on rugged terrains.
The cabs are operator-friendly with ergonomically designed dashboard and remote-control system. Ease of operation, quick access to the switches and the joystick enables smooth operation which reduces operator fatigue, enabling him to work for longer hours. Auto Climate Control AC is a standard in most of our machines. A perfectly positioned large LCD colour display provides a fast and uncomplicated interface between the machine and the operator.
More than 500 certified service engineers have been deployed across India and South Asia to provide best-in-class services to our customers.
A longer service cycle is a result of high-quality genuine components being used in all Sany India equipment. Regular use of lubricants and on-time after-sales services increase the products’ lifecycle.
Sany India’s dedicated technical support team ensures that our customers’ machines are always up and running. The company offers 24x7 after-sales support and services, and a multilingual call center for customer complaints and queries. Sany’s service vans deliver spare parts on time even to the remotest of locations. Warehouses at strategic locations enable faster supply of parts, making our service network stronger.
We offer a Full Maintenance Contract (FMC) service option which allows customers to avail on-ground service teams at the site to instantly address any issue with their machines and thereby reduce downtime. This improves machine performance while reducing the operating costs.
The Government’s push for infrastructure development and the promising reports suggests a rise in construction equipment demand trends in FY-22.
The CE industry is looking at an upward trend, but it would be unwise to ignore the uncertainties and the market volatility which we witnessed with the second wave of the pandemic.
Moreover, steel and raw material price hike can further delay expansion plans as profitability of companies has been hit badly. Many customers and contractors are still dealing with liquidity issues, which will also impact sales.
Amidst all this economic upheaval and an unpredictable market, options like renting, leasing, and refurbishment of old machines are good business alternatives for cash-strapped contractors. In fact, some OEMs have also started renting or leasing out the equipment, which has increased the rental market size in India. We at Sany India are yet to take a step towards this; maybe in few years from now, we can see this coming.
Keeping the company’s values high, we took a slew of measures to support our employees emotionally and financially throughout the pandemic.
People always remember how you make them feel in difficult times: this phrase is very apt during these difficult times. In light of the health infrastructure crisis, Sany India ran a Covid care helpline number for customers, employees, dealers, vendor partners, and their family members. Sany India extended all financial support to its employees. We had constant communication with our customers, vendors and employees through zoom meetings, phone calls, email, and other digital media platforms to boost their morale and sense of well-being.
