Putzmeister to Unveil Ultimate Batching Plant and New Generation Truck Mounted Boom Pump at Excon

Unveiling the features of this new launch Mr. Theissen says, "if one is worried with the no space for Transit mixers to move, appropriate mix quality and maintenance, & after-sales service, then he can put all these worries to rest with the Putzmeister Batching Plant, MT – 1.0. With a twin shaft mixer for the fastest quality mix, easy drive-through of Transit Mixers, automatic greasing system, inbuilt calibration for water and cement, low maintenance cost and reliable and accurate batching, this Batching Plant, is the result of cutting edge technology. Inbuilt highest safety standards for sector specialists who operate and maintain the plant on a daily basis, it offers optimum productivity. The plant also provides a wider frame of the support structure and hence ensures that truck mixers need not drive in reverse mode, guaranteeing an optimum output of the plant which saves time and cost."

He adds, "Some more highlights of the MT-1.0. Batching Plant include Twin Shaft Mixer as a standard feature, 40 cum Inline Bin capacity with expandable capacity to 60 cum, Working Platforms at each level for easy inspection and maintenance, Broad passage under the mixer for easy drive through of Transit Mixers, Auto calibration facility, and Auto greasing system."

Mr. Theissen informs that Putzmeister has also introduced its new M36-4 which offers new improved features to make concreting even more efficient and economical. The new I-frame and pump concept used in the new generation pumps offers improved torsional properties in comparison to fixed frames. The use of aluminium and lightweight, high-grade steel, helps in reducing the weight of the pump by over 2 tons, makes the boom stronger, and also leads to better control at the boom tip.

He further explained that Putzmeister Boom Pumps come equipped with delivery cylinders of 230 mm diameter, which the company proudly named 'Big Mouth'. "Big Mouth" cylinders of 230 mm diameter are 32% more efficient in filling the pipeline than its smaller counterparts with a diameter of 200 mm. During pumping, suction is enabled to the cylinder and then pushed out through the pipeline. The suction is particularly difficult in the boom pump since the cylinders are positioned upwards to accommodate the truck axel. The usage of the 230 mm diameter cylinders leads to a better suction efficiency of the concrete which results in a better filling ratio. This is imperative with rough concrete. The "Big Mouth" solution reduces running costs, diesel consumption, maintenance cost on wear and tear parts etc., for every cubic meter pumped. The Hydraulic tank capacity has been reduced to 275 litres, which is 30% less compared to other machines in the market, making it much more economical and eco-friendly to run.

Giving an overview of the business performance of Putzmeister, he says, "Our company is doing fine and we are here to last but the construction industry needs to come out of the deep crisis it is in. Over the last 3 years, the industry has seen the market drop by more than 30%. The land bill, GST, RBI regulations…are the urgent matters to be dealt with.
