Due to the government’s increased thrust towards infrastructure development and on construction of expressways, highways and rural roads, there will be greater demand for a higher level of mechanization across the country. Says Mr. Shah, “The road construction machinery is witnessing a surge in demand especially for the asphalt batch plants as the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is insisting on the use of asphalt batch plants in all the national and state highways. We’re looking to take on the rising demand of asphalt batch mix plants and are in the process of ramping up our four manufacturing facilities in Ahmedabad, to produce plants of 120-300 TPH based on customer needs. Currently, more than 17 asphalt batch mix plants of Kaushik, made under our collaboration with Turkish firm Çesan, are running across the country.”
“Our target is to increase sales by strengthening our presence in the domestic market especially in the north-east regions where the government is giving greater emphasis. Apart from this, our focus is also on penetrating the Latin American and East European markets. Presently, our products are being exported to South Asian, African and Middle East [markets] under name of Kaushik Engineering Works.”
Kaushik, with its global recognition for development of quality products at economical pricing, is delivering topnotch technologies to help India build with sustainability and low impact on the environment. Mr. Shah says, “Our plants manufactured on proven European technology are cost competitive and operator-friendly. They are safe with respect to noise, dust, and heat. The specially designed burners make the plant fuel-efficient by at least 4.5 litres/ton as compared to 5.5 litres/ton in other manufacturer’s plants. Furthermore, based on modular design, the plants are easier to install and dismantle within two to three days. They are made with globally accredited CE specified design.”
In his concluding remark, he says, “Affordability, cost efficient production rates, user-friendly operations, and simplicity of erection are some of the USPs of our plant. We’re providing support to our asphalt batch mix plants through our pan India offices with trained service personnel and adequate stock of parts. Intensive training to the operators is rendered through our service personnel.”
