Mr. Prashanth Kumar, Executive Director, Sicoma Mixers India
What is your view on the growth of the CE industry in India?
We have seen significant growth in the last 2 years. The coming years also looks promising considering the projects that will take off. Overall we are happy that the machinery is moving.
Is the CE sector fully geared to usher in the GST regime from April 2017? How do you see the impact of it on the industry?
There was a GST conference conducted recently in Bangalore by a well-known industry body. My Accounts team attended the daylong conference. I was given to understand that the transition is not a simple task. We are still awaiting guidelines to initiate transition from 2017. Once thoroughly implemented, I am sure taxation documentation and procedures shall be simplified. As regards to impact, I can comment on this only when we have the numbers and calculations in front of us.
How does Sicoma approach technical improvisation in its existing products?
I am not sure if this question applies to our kind of industry. Sicoma in India since its inception have always been offering the latest products to the Indian market. Our OEM customers have benefited from our global experience wherein we provide latest solutions to the end customers’ requirements.
What about your customer support services and spare parts availability?
That is part of our core strength. Our OEM customers are testimony to it.
What would be the Company’s focus during your participation at bauma Conexpo India 2016? What are the products and services proposed to be displayed at the show?
It will be a very significant show for Sicoma India. We shall be displaying our Concrete Mixers. We also plan to launch our “Made in India” Twin Shaft Mixer product on the show. There will be a lot of customer interest around it.
Our focus will also be on connecting with our OEM and end customers. A lot of feedback will be exchanged.
