Mr. Debashish Roy, Country Head Vollert India

Debashish Roy
Vollert: “We’ll start our own factory in Sikandrabad (Uttar Pradesh) soon to produce Stationary Systems in India. This will make the investment/operating cost low and affordable to all the developers/contractors who are going with precast and will help them to deliver the projects to the buyers at the projected time,” says Mr. Debashish Roy, Country Head Vollert India.

What would be the Company’s focus during your participation at bauma Conexpo India 2016?

Bauma Conexpo 2016 is a very important exhibition in India dedicated to the construction industry. It is for every exhibitor to showcase their products to be launched/additional features integrated into their existing launched products. Vollert would focus on a very special project (Dream Acres Project) of Sobha Ltd., Bangalore where we have set up Circulation Line (Wall & Slab elements) & Stationary Line (Beams, Columns, Staircase, L-Shaped Moulds & Sunshade elements) for their 6900 apartments to be completed in a span of 5 years or less than what they predicted.

We would also showcase our new factory coming up in Sikandrabad (Uttar Pradesh) which we would launch soon. We would be producing all Stationary systems (Tilting Tables, Flat Tables, Long bed for pre-stressed elements, Column/Beam Mould, Staircase Mould) and some steel products for Circulation Line.

Vollert Tilting Tables

What are the products and services proposed to be launched/displayed at the show? Kindly highlight the USPs of one of your newly introduced products?

We would display our Sunshade Moulds & L-Shaped moulds developed and which we have already given to M/s Sobha Ltd. We have delivered 8 Nos. of these moulds. With the Sunshade Moulds one can cast Wall with the Sunshade as one piece.

Higher uptime, low operating cost, strong after sales services, and spare parts availability have become the key selling points. How is your company strengthening its positions in these areas?

With the present Govt. regulations for the Real Estate Industry imposed on the developers it is of prime importance that project has to be delivered to the buyers at the projected time coupled with lower investment, higher uptime and strong after sales service. We had predicted that this situation would come in the Indian Building Industry and to gear up to this situation we decided to start our own factory to produce Stationary Systems in India so that the investment/operating cost becomes low and affordable to all the developers / contractors and they also reap the benefits of going for precast.

What is your outlook on the growth of construction equipment industry in the wake of government’s focus on infrastructure developments?

There has been a recession in the Real Estate Industry in the last 9 - 12 months because of various factors and everyone is aware of the same. This has started improving now and there are signs of more improvement because of the government focus on the infrastructure developments. We as the equipment suppliers are positive that the next financial year would be good for everyone in terms of business for existing suppliers and also for the new entrants in the construction equipment industry who wants to start up and have a foothold in India.
