JK Tyre, with its mission to become the “Greenest Company”, has set benchmarks for becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The company’s journey towards sustainability started many years ago, during which it reached many milestones due to its unwavering focus.
The company believes in producing more with less, which is the foundation of its environmental responsibility. It is working on reducing energy intensity, greenhouse gas emissions, and is extensively evaluating more sustainable materials and processes. To reduce dependence on thermal energy and use of coal, JK Tyre is exploring renewable sources. In fact, its efforts in this direction have significantly curbed carbon emissions in its manufacturing processes and reduced emission intensity. JK Tyre is now positioned amongst the most energy-efficient tyre manufacturers in the world.

- Extensive all-round efforts towards reducing energy consumption led to 9 GJ/ton of finished tyres in 2022 – the lowest in India and among the lowest three in the world.
- Achieved 53% of its energy use through renewable sources; it now targets over 75% in the next 5 years.
- In the global tyre industry JK Tyre has the lowest water consumption with less than 2 KL/ton consumption.
- It is already a Zero discharge company.
