Jawahar Kapasi, Safari

Mr. Jawahar Kapasi, MD
Gujarat-based Safari Construction Equipment Pvt Ltd has been manufacturing high quality concrete mixers and mini cranes for over 20 years. With increasing market demand for high quality rebar processing machines in India, Safari has launched a new range of bar cutting and bar bending machines. By developing and manufacturing these machines, Safari has entered the Rebar Processing segment of construction equipment and machinery. These new machines will be displayed at the upcoming Excon exhibition in Bangalore.
The machines are of very high quality as all their components are made in India and undergo stringent quality checks. The company’s “Make in India” initiative also ensures that all spare parts are readily and easily available, so any breakdown on construction sites can be quickly fixed, thereby reducing downtime significantly. Currently, the Indian market is flooded with imported machines which only have an Indian label, and are of mediocre quality with hard to get spares and services.
The existing models in the market are basically designed to be stationary, which causes overheads of hydra and labour requirement in case the machines are to be moved to a different location. Unlike these machines, Safari’s made in India model is compact, and comes with four wheels and a towing handle, which enables easy transportation of the machine.
The complete M.S. body of Safari machines ensure quick and easy repairing and maintenance, unlike the cast iron bodies of many competing companies. Safari machines are robust and last longer at construction sites, hence, are considered more sustainable for the Indian market.
The Bar Cutting Machine is powered by an electric three-phase motor and is used for TMT bar cutting on construction sites. A specially designed clutch system provides safe operation, while the highest quality of blade ensures precise and fast cutting of TMT bars.
The Bar Bending Machine is powered by an electric three-phase motor with planetary gear box, and is easily operated by foot. The machine is used on construction sites for bending of TMT bars mechanically. A special limit switch is provided for safe operation of the machine. Five different dies with pin are provided for types of bend required for the TMT bars.
The company’s all India dealer and service network ensures prompt service and easy maintenance in any part of the country. With the addition of this line of machinery, Safari has become a one-point supplier of construction machinery to its distributors, dealers and customers. Its range of products include the concrete mixer, tough ride, mini crane, tremix system, rebar processing machine and builder’s hoist.
