One of the key elements of RERA is to ensure that the end-consumer gets the home as per the commitment. As a result, timely completion of projects has become paramount for builders. Since our formwork systems play a pivotal role in enabling faster and better-quality construction of all types of (complex) buildings and structures, we are seeing an uptake in demand. At the same time, architectural and structural designs are becoming more complex. So, the requirement for tailor-made, innovative and faster formwork/scaffolding systems is increasing. We are also seeing an increasing trend of smaller contractors using System Formwork.
Framini - our new formwork system for mid- and low-rise buildings – can be used by small & mid-level contractors.
To enable more widespread use of System Formwork, we have launched a new formwork system suitable for the mid-rise and low-rise real estate sector. This will enable small and mid-level contractors to utilize the Doka formwork solutions.
In the scaffolding product range, we have a segregation of products based on the load on the system. These include Doka load bearing Tower D3 for heavy loads and Dokascaff for moderate loads. This helps us to optimize the scaffolding required for different structures, which will also make the design more economical for our customers.
The formwork solution was built keeping in view user safety.
Conventional systems are normally not a good choice when you consider safety of the system or even safety of the concrete. Our systems are tested as per European norms and we have special safety systems for the higher working platforms, which we will be showcasing at bauma CONEXPO.
The biggest challenge is lack of awareness of System Formwork solutions and their benefits to civil contractors and builders, such as higher speed of construction, less concrete leakages, better quality and safety of concrete. India is also a very diverse country, so a very different approach is required in each region.
We develop country-specific systems as every country and regions have different needs.
DOKA has a R&D center in Austria and in some other countries, to develop and test new innovations, concepts, products, designs and come up with new engineering solutions. We have over 600 engineers worldwide to provide safer and more reliable systems to our clients. We realize that every country has different construction practices and we take that into consideration while developing systems and make them country-specific.
We provide highly trained and experienced formwork instructors to our customers, who train their engineers and workers at site for installation, inspection, material stacking, the do’s and don’ts of the system, and help them simplify the process, regardless of the complexity of the structure. We also provide our services throughout the duration of the project’s execution.
Awareness of formwork solutions is key to our and the segment’s growth in India.
India is a developing country and in need of intense investment in infrastructure and housing. We believe that, over time, the market will begin to mature and appreciate the value that the system formwork can bring to construction and infra development in India.
At DOKA, to expand our presence in India, we will look at geographic expansion, focus on key segments of our business, and bring more solutions into the market place. Our efforts will also be directed towards creating more awareness of formwork solutions.
