The projects in the pipeline auger well for foundation equipment business in 2019 and in the coming two years.
This has been good year for us in terms of complete and parts business, and we expect some more business in the remaining months of this financial year. The Government has announced various Railway, Metro Rail, Ports, Roads and Bridges, and Power projects for building the country’s infrastructure. These projects have good potential for generating demand for civil foundation equipment.
The government is also pushing contractors to minimize the timelines for completing projects. A judicious planning for timely implementation of projects, especially in the context of land acquisition, utility removal, and emphasis on selecting the right capacity equipment, will ensure sustainable and consistent growth of foundation equipment.
We hope to have a strong Central government in place by mid next year after the general elections, to carry forward completion of these projects with smooth implementation. The present trend and various infrastructure related projects that have been envisaged indicate a 10-12% y-o-y growth of the CE market in India.
