AJAX Engineering An Atmanirbhar Bharat Company

Helping Build a Modern India

Jagadish Bhat, MD & CEO, AJAX Engineering
With our indigenously manufactured products and engineering expertise, we are playing an important role in building a modern India and are also catering to global markets. Our investments in expanding our manufacturing capacity and in introducing more advanced products time and again, will enhance the Government’s Make in India drive, besides creating a lot of employment opportunities.

Jagadish Bhat, MD & CEO, AJAX Engineering
Continuous R&D, innovations and indigenization have made AJAX a self-reliant Indian company since the last three decades. Our focus is on a lean and strong IT-enabled organization staffed by competent professionals. Our 3 pillars of success are: highly competent design and engineering teams that provide innovative solutions to customers; our wide customer reach through a well-spread network across the country; and the best in industry customer support that reaches customers in the shortest time possible.

Over the years, AJAX has expanded its product portfolio from Self-Loading Concrete Mixers to a complete range of Concreting Equipment - from Batching Plants to Boom Pumps to Slip-Form Pavers.

Considered the world’s largest SLCM manufacturer, AJAX has now achieved a milestone with 20,000+ units of concreting equipment in the market. Currently, we have over 35 dealers and over 100 branch offices pan India to provide sales and service to our customers. AJAX is also serving international markets through 16+ distributors.

Boom Pump BS6 version

Besides pioneering the SLCMs, AJAX has introduced innovative products like Boom Pumps and Self-Propelled Boom Pumps. Its latest offering is the Concrete Slip-Form Paver. All these products stand out from competitors with their high quality and unique features.

Concrete Boom Pumps have been revolutionizing the construction of large commercial and residential buildings. Due to the shortage of skilled labour and the need for quick placement of concrete in inaccessible areas, use of boom pumps has increased in construction projects.

AJAX offers a truck-mounted boom pump of 30 meters, mounted on a 4x2 chassis. Its shorter turning radius makes it most suitable for RMC plants working in constricted city sites or in tight, hard to access locations.

Keeping pace with the changing requirements of customers, AJAX launched a 25m self-propelled boom pump (SPBP 25ZX). This is an industry first and a patented product. It has a 4-wheel drive, 3-way steering, 180˚ reversible operator post, shortest turning radius, and better gradeability, making it highly reliable for working in extreme slushy and muddy terrains. Its high power to weight ratio helps deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency.

AJAX is also the only Indian company to design and manufacture a fully automatic Concrete Slip-Form Paver, thereby eliminating the need for customers to import it.

From Airports to National Highways, Metro Rail and Freight Corridors to Solar Parks and Irrigation projects, AJAX has been consistently contributing to infrastructure development and thereby propelling the country’s economic growth. The company has been associated with landmark infrastructure projects like the world’s largest solar power plant – Bhadla Solar Park; South Asia’s largest aviation hub – IGI Airport in New Delhi; India’s largest metro rail network – Delhi Metro Rail; the world’s longest railway platform – Hubballi Railway Junction; Asia’s longest bi-directional tunnel – ZojiLa Tunnel project; and the world’s largest drip irrigation project – Ramthal Marola.

As India continues to build new and more modern infrastructure, AJAX is committed to develop ‘Make in India’ innovative solutions and relace import substitutes to help build a stronger and self-reliant India. In fact, AJAX’s products are exported to several countries, making it a global brand.

Today, AJAX is geared up with the capabilities and the expertise to become a market leader in India’s Concreting Equipment Business. In view of the increased demand for concreting equipment, the company has made an investment of Rs. 100 cr to build a new manufacturing facility and design centre in Bengaluru. This greenfield project will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to design and manufacture newly introduced products like the Concrete Slip-Form Pavers, Boom Pumps, and Self-Propelled Boom Pumps. A further investment of Rs. 40 cr has been made for the expansion of its Gowribidanur plant where Batching Plants and Transit Mixers are being produced.

In the next five years, AJAX is set to emerge as a MNC and rank amongst the top 3 international players in the Concrete Equipment space. As a truly ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat company’ AJAX strongly believes in the Indian Government’s ‘Made in India - Made for the World’ mission.
