TELCO Construction Equipment Ltd, the leader in construction equipment in India, has been enhancing the operational performance for its customers by improving their profitability and competitiveness through constructive solutions. TELCON is a joint venture with Hitachi Construction Machinery Ltd, Japan that holds 60% share and TATA Motors which holds the balance 40%. TELCON started manufacturing of construction equipment in 1961 as a division of TELCO. In 1984, it entered into a technical collaboration with HCM, Japan for manufacturing state-of-the-art hydraulic excavators.

TELCON is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment and it has three manufacturing plants - at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, Dharwad in Karnataka, and Kharagpur in West Bengal. Telcon has recently started operations at its new manufacturing facility in Kharagpur.

Tata Backhoe Loader

In the Backhoe Loader segment, Telcon has a dominant position in the 85 + HP segment which is possible primarily because of its TATA 315V capable enough to prove its worth in tough applications. This has been widely recognized in various markets across the country.

TELCON has also recently introduced TATA 315E to cater to the needs of hiring and rental markets whose primary requirements are less fuel consumption and overall less owning and operating costs. This has been evolved through its focus in understanding their customers, needs and increased their profitiability and competitiveness.

The Tata 315E is powered by the popular 76 HP TATA 497 TC engine with fully powershift Transmission and Axles from Internationally renowned ZF and additionally provided with a sturdy Power Curve Boom and best in class Control Valves.
