Forging the Future Together
At bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, the company unveiled a 31-machine showcase, including 13 new product launches, across excavation, deep foundation, road construction, mining, port machinery, aerial work platforms, material handling and heavy-duty transportation. The display reflected SANY India’s focus on technology, electrification, sustainability and application-led engineering. Electric excavators, wheel loaders, mining trucks, tippers, reach stackers, aerial platforms and heavy-duty vehicles featured prominently.
Electrification
With electrification driving the future of earthmoving, SANY's launch of the SY215C-9LC Quarry, SY210C-9 Quarry and SY215E electric excavators comes at an opportune time. The company’s display also featured the SY33C PRO, SY38U PRO, SY150C PRO and SY220C-9XL SPARC+ excavators. The SW936E electric wheel loader made its exhibition debut alongside the SW956E electric wheel loader, highlighting SANY’s growing focus on electric earthmoving equipment. In the compactor segment, SANY launched the STR90C-10 PRO soil compactor and showcased the SSR110C-10 PRO soil compactor. The lineup also included the STG170C-10 motor grader.

Deep Foundation
Advancing its Deep Foundation Capabilities, SANY launched the SR185DW, developed specifically for the Indian market, alongside the SR235MIII and SR445R E10. The portfolio demonstrated its capabilities in specialised foundation solutions for demanding infrastructure applications.Mining
The company is driving sustainable mining with solutions like the SY900H Mining Excavator, SW978K1 PRO-IN Mining Wheel Loader, SKT115E Electric Mining Truck and SANY 7540E Electric Mining Tipper. The electric models highlight SANY’s focus on supporting more sustainable heavy-duty mining operations.
Roads
In its Road Business, SANY showcased the SAP100C-10 Tracked Paver, SAP80C-10 Paver, SCM1000C-8S Milling Machine, SCP1300FC-8A Milling Machine and SABP145 Asphalt Batching Plant, covering asphalt production, milling and paving.Port Operations and Elevated Access
With its focus on electrification for Port Operations and Elevated Access, SANY launched the SRSC45E3 Electric Reach Stacker for container handling and showcased the SCP350C2 Diesel Heavy-Duty Forklift for high-capacity material handling.Aerial Work Platforms
In aerial work platforms, SANY launched the SPT42, a 42-metre telescopic boom lift, and displayed the SPS1414HA Electric Scissor Lift and SPT26AC Electric Telescopic Boom Lift. The SCP30 3-tonne forklift represented its Material Handling segment.Heavy-Duty Transportation
Electrifying heavy-duty transportation, SANY launched the 5565E Electric Tractor and 3555E Electric Tipper, featuring a 462-kWh battery configuration and extending its electric solutions into heavy-duty logistics and transportation.“The growing presence of electric equipment across our portfolio demonstrates our belief that productivity and sustainability must move forward together,” said Deepak Garg, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, SANY India.
Localisation
The company is building a localised ecosystem for long-term support. Through ‘Make in India for the World’ SANY aims to combine global engineering expertise with local manufacturing and application knowledge to develop solutions suited to Indian operating conditions."At SANY, Component localisation exceeds 65% for one excavator type and is around 30% for some larger classes. For us, localisation extends beyond components. Talent localisation is equally important, including the manpower involved in servicing and operating machines. SANY has 100% localised talent and after-sales support. This matters because a machine may operate for 10 years, while a two-day breakdown can cause losses running into lakhs of rupees. Importing parts and support repeatedly would ultimately add to the customer’s cost,” informed Shashank Pandey, Director, KAM BU, SANY India.
Pricing and ROI
Electric equipment carries a higher upfront cost than comparable diesel equipment, but SANY says customers must also consider operating savings. According to the company, electric excavators break even in around two and a half years. Their economic life is at least seven to eight years and can extend to 10–15 years or more under Indian operating conditions. For a five-tonne electric wheel loader, utilisation is decisive: at 11– 12 hours a day, the break-even period does not exceed one year; at three or four hours a day, it takes longer.
Charging Infrastructure and After-Sales Support
Charging points are emerging in India, and states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan have policies supporting charging infrastructure. Land along highways can also support charging for heavy electric trucks.Based on more than a year of operating experience, SANY says the reliability of its electric products has been almost 100%. It is setting up service banks and container workshops at strategic highway locations and currently services more than 1,000 units.
"The company plans to supply more than 5,500 electric machines over the next four months. SANY estimates spare-parts expenditure for one of its trucks at around ₹3 lakh over five years and 5 lakh kilometres, compared with more than ₹15–20 lakh for a diesel vehicle," informed Garg.
Battery Life and Warranty
SANY says a battery can operate at its optimal level until it reaches around 70% state of health. It offers a warranty of five years and 3,000 cycles for heavy-duty on-road applications. The company develops its battery and battery technology in-house and says its battery degradation is among the lowest.Digitalisation, Globalisation and Decarbonisation
SANY has offered remote access to machine information since 2014. Customers can use their phones to monitor operating hours, fluid consumption, bucket operating time, idling, faults, oil temperature and other parameters.Digitalisation also extends to charging. An intelligent charging system can serve a fleet of 10 electric machines with fewer than 10 individual chargers, helping customers control capital expenditure.
By combining these systems with local capabilities, SANY aims to provide more efficient, connected and sustainable solutions for India’s infrastructure growth.
