Komatsu and Larsen & Toubro have introduced two new models of Hydraulic Excavators in the 30-ton class for application in the Stone, Granite and Marble Industry. The two models, Komatsu PC300LC-8M0 and Komatsu PC350LC-8M0, were launched jointly by Masaaki Kamizono, MD, Komatsu India Pvt. Ltd. and Arvind K. Komatsu and L&T's new models of Hydraulic Excavators for the Granite and Marble Industry
30-ton machines are popular in the Indian market, and L&T had introduced the Komatsu PC300 model almost a decade back. Seeing the need for a sturdier machine in the Granite and Marble segment, L&T worked with Komatsu to develop the new machines, which will be manufactured by Komatsu and marketed by L&T.The new, heavy-duty machines have a stronger body, large counterweight and stronger undercarriage fitted with large capacity bucket and reinforcements. Komatsu SAA6D114E-3 powerful diesel engine of 260 HP will enable faster cycle times and higher production, along with fuel economy.

New features include a more spacious AC cabin, SE Boom (6.0 m), ME Bucket (with 1.9, 2.1, 2.3 CuM options), and ICT technology. Komatsu ME Bucket is an engineering marvel with high durability and enables high productivity with low-resistant excavation. The revolutionary Komtrax tracking system will help monitor the machines, improve their performance and help reduce fuel consumption. Features include a color monitor with advanced machine monitoring function, and improved visibility and resolution with large TFT LCD.
The event, which was attended by customers from the Granite and Marble industry across India, saw technical presentations by Komatsu and L&T teams. The launch of the new models will help L&T carve a niche in the highly competitive 30-ton market.
