Columbia Pakona Setting New Benchmark
On being asked about how Columbia is contending with the slowdown, he informed, "The slowdown has affected everyone including us, but our machines are versatile. Our machines cater to both infrastructure sector and the building materials sector. We have supplied close to 200 plants in India, and are getting repeat orders from our customers when they plan to expand their business. Contractors all over India who are in the development of highways are purchasing our equipment for producing retaining wall blocks for the construction of retaining wall for flyovers. Construction of ports, container terminal and pavement development in cities have boosted the sale of our machine to manufactures who are into the business of high strength paver manufacturing. Ban on clay bricks, development of town ships and green buildings led to the consumption of eco-friendly products like hollow /solid blocks and flyash bricks, resulted in increase in the sale of Columbia machines. Government's efforts in developing new power plants has resulted in generation of huge quantity of flyash in India. Manufacturers around power plants are purchasing our equipment for manufacturing good quality flyash bricks. In addition to this, we are conducting seminars in various cities to create awareness on quality concrete products and the advantages of our machines in comparison with our competitors.
