Work on Major Highway Projects in Odisha to Begin Soon
The construction of two major national highway projects in Odisha, namely the Coastal Highway and the Capital Region Ring Road, is set to commence shortly. The 413 km long, four-lane Coastal Highway, part of the Bharatmala project, will be built at an accelerated pace with a budget of Rs 23,882 crore. This highway will be constructed in three sections: from Rameswar to Ratanpur, Ratanpur to Digha, and Jamujhadi to Dhamra. The detailed project report (DPR) and its related approvals are nearing completion, paving the way for the project's initiation.
