Adding to its project portfolio in the road sector, Welspun Enterprises has recently inked a pact with National Highways Authority of India to build highway project starting from Sattanathapuram to Nagapattinam section of NH-45A (New NH -332) in Tamil Nadu at an investment of Rs 20.05 billion. In this connection, NHAI and Welspun Sattanathapuram Nagapattinam Road Private Limited (WSNRPL), a subsidiary of Welspun Enterprises, have executed the Concession Agreement for the construction of four-laning of project in the state falling under NHDP Phase-IV and will be implemented on hybrid annuity mode (HAM). WSNRPL will develop the project for which the first-year operation and maintenance cost would be Rs 50 million. The construction period is two years and WSNRPL has received a sanction letter from lenders for carrying out the project in question on fast tracked basis.
