Ensuring smooth flow of vehicular traffic, the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation (UPSBC) in a latest move, has decided to construct two flyovers at the Bareilly-Badaun bypass road. In the newest traffic management schemes of things, the construction of a flyover at Bareilly-Badaun bypass will directly connect the Lucknow road to Badaun via Lal Phatak. A proposal for the project estimated to cost Rs.41.8 crore, has been sent to the state government for its approval. The two bridges will be two-lane and will run parallel to each other. The first, a 70 metre-long bridge, estimated to cost Rs.3.35 crore, will be constructed over the Nakatiya River. The second, a 450 metre-long bridge is to be built at a cost of Rs.38.45 crore and will run over a railway line, parallel to Nakatiya river, at Bareilly-Badaun bypass, said official sources.
