Union Minister Sonowal Unveils Sustainable Initiatives at JN Port Mumbai
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, inaugurated three newly rejuvenated freshwater lakes at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, emphasizing their role in rainwater harvesting and habitat restoration. These lakes, named after revered Maharashtra saints—Saint Dyaneshwar Maharaj, Saint Eknath Maharaj, and Saint Namdeo Maharaj—are part of a broader sustainable development initiative at the port. Sonowal highlighted the importance of ports as key assets for driving India's economic growth under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Viksit Bharat' visions.
