Tripura Govt Prioritizes Kamalpur-Santirbazar Road as National Highway

The Tripura government is prioritizing the development of the Kamalpur to Santirbazar road into a national highway. Currently, the state has six national highways spanning 923.31 km, with the Centre approving, in principle, the development of four more.
The 148 km Kamalpur-Santirbazar road is expected to be a game changer for tribal communities across Dhalai, Gomati, and South Tripura districts, boosting socio-economic activities. Additionally, it will cut travel distance from Ambassa (Dhalai) to Sabroom (South Tripura) from 300 km to 200 km, significantly improving connectivity.
