L&T Wins Bid for Mumbai Metro Line 4 & 4A Systems

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has emerged as the lowest bidder for five key systems under Package CA-234 of Mumbai Metro Line 4 and 4A, spanning 35.2 km from Wadala to Gaimukh via Kasarvadavali. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) re-invited bids for this contract in February 2024, with an estimated cost of ₹4,279.49 crore and a 19-year contract duration.

L&T will supply 39 trains (234 coaches) with six-car configurations, along with CBTC signaling and train control, telecommunication systems, platform screen doors, and depot machinery & plant for Mogharpada Depot.
