Telangana speeds up ₹1,354-cr modern townships

The prestigious 2-BHK Kollur township comprising of 15,560 double bedroom houses are scheduled to be ready by December 2019. Spread over 124 acres, the ₹1,354 crore model township being developed as part of the state's Dignity Housing Scheme, will feature eco-friendly technologies such as zero-discharge, garbage disposal systems, recycling of water and green energy etc. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M Dana Kishore along with senior officials and engineers visited the upcoming township and inspected the utilities and amenities. The 2BHK units are coming up in 117 multi-storey housing blocks. The Kollur Township near Ramachandrapuram, will be self-sustainable with its own police station, fire station, educational institutions, bus terminals and other basic infrastructure and facilities. The civic body has released sufficient funds to the agencies involved in the construction.
