Decks cleared for RoB on the Kazipet–Balharshah rail line
Decks that created hurdles in the construction of a road over bridge (RoB) parallel to the existing one at Fathima Nagar in Warangal district of Maharashtra have been cleared with the state government clearing funds for the project. Warangal Urban District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil said that he reviewed the measures to speed up the RoB work. The problem of heavy traffic on the Kazipet–Balharshah railway line will be resolved with the commissioning of the mega project. As a matter of fact, utmost care would be taken to protect the Railway signaling, communications, NPDCL electricity lines, GWMC water supply pipelines etc before starting work on the project. Of the ₹78 crore the project recently received from the state administration, ₹3.68 crore will be paid to the Railways as deposit towards lease of 1.5 acres of land. The State government had given the green signal a couple of years ago for the second RoB but there were hiccups in land acquisition and in finding bidders for the work.
