Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase II project

The Telangana government has approved the ₹24,269 crore Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase II project, a joint venture with the Centre. The project includes five Metro corridors spanning 76.4 km, undertaken on a 50:50 basis between the state (Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited) and the Centre.

Of the total project cost, Telangana will cover ₹7,313 crore (30%), while the Union government will contribute ₹4,230 crore. Public-private partnerships will account for ₹1,033 crore, or 4% of the funding, with the remaining ₹11,693 crore (48%) sourced from loans by international financial institutions like JICA, the Asian Development Bank, and NDB
