South Central Railway approves ₹1,733-cr rail line
South Central Railway general manager Vinod Yadav has informed that a DPR for laying a railway line in the state capital at a cost of ₹1733 crore has been approved. Initially, the railway will lay a single line railway track to Amaravati and depending on the requirement, will lay a second line. The railway department will acquire land for laying double railway track and the state is going all out on this score. The Central government will allot funds for the project in the 2019-20 fiscal year. The Nadikudi –Srikalahasti railway line has been completed up to Savalyapuram and the railway line laying work will also be completed within the stipulated time.
