Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Centre (Planning & Engineering) (UTTIPEC) and Noida Authority have cleared the decks for construction of an elevated 6-lane corridor that starts at Delhi's Mayur Vihar and ends at Mahamaya flyover on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, entailing an investment of ₹650 crore. Work on the corridor will begin in January 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in 42 months. Half of the project cost would be borne by the Noida Authority and the other half by the UP government. The feasibility study for the elevated structure, from Mayur Vihar flyover near Chilla regulator to Mahamaya flyover, along the Shahdara drain was carried out in 2013 and the project has been lying in limbo since then. The second corridor, which has also been cleared include the Yamuna River Kalindi Kunj of Noida authority, and falls within the National Capital Territory (NCT). Both projects are being fast tracked.
