Siemens-Led Consortium Bags ₹4,100 Cr Contract for Bullet Train Project

Siemens Ltd, as part of a consortium with Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt Ltd and Siemens Mobility GmbH, has secured a ₹4,100 crore contract from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
Siemens Ltd's share in the project is ₹1,230 crore, covering the design, installation, and long-term maintenance of advanced signalling and telecommunication systems. The project will be executed over 54 months, with Siemens also providing 15 years of maintenance support to ensure lifecycle reliability.
The company will implement ETCS Level 2-based signalling and train control technologies, enabling train speeds of up to 350 km/h. The system will facilitate real-time train supervision, continuous wireless communication, and centralised traffic management, bringing world-class technology to India’s first high-speed rail corridor.
