Shyam Metalics Expands Production with ₹603 Cr Cold Rolling Mill in WB

Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd. (SMEL) has announced the establishment of a Greenfield Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) in Jamuria, West Bengal. The new mill, developed under Shyam Metalics Flat Products Pvt Ltd., boasts an annual capacity of 400,000 tons and a total project cost of ₹603 crores, with ₹346 crores already invested.

Specializing in pre-painted galvalume coils (PPGL) and galvanized iron/steel (GI/GL) products, the facility strengthens SMEL’s integrated steel manufacturing capabilities. Brij Bhushan Aggarwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, noted that the project is expected to contribute 8% to 10% to the company's revenue and EBIDTA within two years, supporting both domestic and international markets.
