Shramik Sanjeevini Yojana Benefits Over 18,000 Construction Workers

The Shramik Sanjeevini Yojana provided medical treatment to 18,379 construction workers in Dharwad district last year. The scheme operates mobile treatment centers, offering free healthcare at construction sites, workers' colonies, and homes.
Run through contracted agencies under the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, each unit consists of a doctor, two nurses, and a driver. Services include eye check-ups, blood pressure and diabetes screening, HIV detection, blood tests, and maternal care.
