Himachal Pradesh government has inked a pact with National Highways Logistics Management Limited to provide connectivity to the masses living in the remote areas of the hill state under the ambitious Parvatmala Yojana. This is a significant MoU which will facilitate a unique, eco-friendly, scenic and seamless travel experience for tourists. By leveraging world-class technology, seven ropeway projects of a total length of 57.1km costing ₹3,232 crore will be constructed across the state. They include Palampur Thatri – Chhunja Glacier with a length of 13.5km involving ₹605 crore investments and also from Shirgul Mahadev Temple to Chudhar in Sirmour district of the state, with a length of 8 km and involving ₹250 crore investments. Lunhu – Bandla (District – Bilaspur) of a length of 3 km with a cost of ₹150 crore. Himani to Chamunda (District – Kangra) of length 6.5 km with a cost of ₹289 crore and Bijli Mahadev Temple (District - Kullu) of length 3.2 km involving ₹200 crore cost. Bharmour to Bharmani Mata Temple of length 2.5 km with a cost of ₹120 crore and Killar to Sacch Pass (District – Chamba) of length 20.4 km involving ₹1,618 crore investment. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, MoS V K Singh and CM of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur.
