NHIDCL signs MoU for building NHs in tough terrains

The MoU was officially signed by Professor Parameswar K. lyer, the Director of IIT Guwahati, and Chanchal Kumar, the Managing Director of NHIDCL. NHIDCL, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, is actively seeking and promoting innovative technologies to address the challenges and promote technological advancements in highway construction, particularly under extreme climatic and adverse geographical conditions.
Under the MoU, IIT Guwahati will provide its extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering, road construction, planning, and design to support NHIDCL's objectives. The collaboration will enable both entities to conduct joint research projects, exchange technical expertise, and foster innovation in the construction of highways in challenging environments.
