NHAI
The National Highway Authority of India has approved a 112.80 km long highway project starting from Giddaluru in Prakasam district to Vinukonda in Guntur involving ₹925.60 crore investment. It will be named NH-544D. Andhra Pradesh government has also planned to build another new road connecting Rayalaseema with Vijayawada. As of now, the Nallamala area in Rayalaseema district did not have proper road connectivity with Vijayawada but now the Rayalaseema region will get top class connectivity to further connect the backward areas of the state with the Vijayawada region. There is already connectivity with the main road from Vinukonda to Vijayawada. The state CM will soon lay the foundation stone for the new highway project and NHAI expects it to complete by January 2023.
