MP gets ₹2,500-cr road and highway projects

The Central government has sanctioned ₹2,500 crore for the construction of roads including the up-gradation of Indore-Adilabad section (203 km) of NH-347BG and Ujjain-Badnawar section (69 km) at a total length of 272 km. The construction and up-gradation of quality roads in the area will benefit the Malwa region. State CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that a top-class network of roads is being built across the country by the Union government and Madhya Pradesh is reaping rich dividends of the program. A sum of ₹1,162.80 crore has been sanctioned for making the Indore-Adilabad section (203 km) of NH-347BG into four lanes and ₹1,352.56 crore has been approved for the Ujjain-Badnawar section (69 km) in Indore and Khargone and also ₹1,352.56 crore have been approved for the construction of arterial roads in the area.
