MoRTH clears ₹512.98-cr for NH 161-B upgrade

The Union transport ministry has granted ₹512.98 crore for carrying out upgradation of 161-B national highway connecting Narayankhed-Nizampet and Bidar towns in Telangana. The scope of work includes laying a 46-KM double-lane road connecting two towns located on two sides of Karnataka and Telangana border. State Finance Minister T Harish Rao informed that the union ministry has released the funds following the concerted efforts of the state government. The road will connect Ryalamadugu, DNT Thanda, Venkatapur, Narayankhed, Bhanapur, Jaganadhpur, Pipri, Manoor, Bellapur, and Pulkurthi villages in Narayankhed Assembly Constituency and Raghavapur, Chalki, Ibrahimpur, Nyalkal and Dappur villages in Zaheerabad Constituency with both the Narayanakhed and Bidar towns.
