MoRTH announces ₹1,501-cr NH project in Punjab

The Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has announced the construction of four and six-lane greenfield Ludhiana - Rupnagar National Highway (NH-205K) involving an investment of ₹1,501 crore. The scope of work in the highway stretch includes the construction of spur to Kharar with Ludhiana bypass. The project has already been approved by the state government and named it as Pragati Ka Highway since the development of this economic corridor has been envisaged under Bharatmala Pariyojana. The highway would give connectivity to economically important production and consumption centres in and around the state.
