Centre clears ₹406-cr for four lanes road in MP

The Union government has recently approved the construction of a four-lane road on Swarnarekha Nala in Gwalior involving an investment of ₹406 crore. The project will be constructed from the Institute of Information Technology and Management (IITM) to Maharani Laxmibai statue, Water Resources Minister, MP, Tulsi Ram Silavat said, adding that the sustained efforts of the state government resulted in the sanctioning of funds for the planned project. In addition to the four-lane road, the Union government has also sanctioned funds from the Central Road Fund Scheme for the construction of 3 roads in the Gwalior-Chambal division. The roads include the 32 km Bhitarwar-Chinour road, the 11 kms Chitouli-Ranighat road and the 4.7kms Dabra Pichour road stretch, he said.
