The National Highways Authority of India has awarded the Belagavi-Sankeshwar bypass project to Ashoka Buildcon and has also issued a letter of award to the company for a contract entailing ₹829.49 crore investment for the six-lane road project in Karnataka. The construction contract has been awarded in relation to the construction of NH-48 on the engineering procurement and construction model under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The company has also won the tender for Halaga-Khanapur and Belagavi-Dharwad sections of the highway in the same state.
