AEL wins 464-km Ganga Expressway project in UP

Adani Enterprises (AEL) has secured a contract to build three sections of the Ganga Expressway with a length of 464-km of the 594-km Ganga Expressway project. The was awarded by Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) at US$1.98 billion for the route between Budaun and Prayagraj. The work will be executed under a design, bid, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) model.

UPEIDA has also awarded a contract to IRB Infrastructure Developers to construct a 130km stretch of the route, forming Group I of the Ganga Expressway, to be executed under the DBFOT model. The $883.4 million deal will connect Meerut with Badaun.
