Rajasthan Prepares Feasibility Report for Port Development at Bhawtara

The Government of Rajasthan has completed a pre-feasibility report for developing a port at Bhawtara, near Bakhasar in Barmer district. The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has prepared a feasibility report for National Waterway-48. To further assess the navigation potential and development prospects of the proposed port, IWAI has enlisted the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways & Coasts (NTCPWC) at IIT Madras to conduct mathematical modeling of the waterway.
